Carnival Day at the Testwood Club

It was Totton Carnival yesterday (Saturday 16 June) and the Testwood Club was open to non members and members all day and its safe to say that a lot of fun was had throughout the day.

It was our first gig without Jem so we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to her for all the gigs and giggles we had on the way. Thanks for being such a great part of Break Cover and good luck for all that you are going to do.

We were very lucky that Amber stepped forward so quickly and it was an absolute joy to introduce her to her first Break Cover gig. Amber comes from a classical music background, and is looking forward to delving into classic rock. In her spare time, in case you cant find her, she will usually be with her horses, or jamming in her originals duo- Common Confusion.

Our first gig at the Testwood Club and Amber’s first gig with us could not have gone any better – the audience were a real blast and were really appreciative of Amber. Hopefully we’ll get to play there again soon. Thank you to Bill Solomon and the Testwood Team for a thoroughly enjoyable evening and for making Amber’s introduction so memorable.

Please join us in welcoming Amber to Break Cover!

The Wig & Quill – June 18

Last night ends a bit of a busy run (4 gigs in a week!!!) but the Wig and Quill was on form last night. At half time we got a request for Crossroads. A song we haven’t done in ages! Sadly I can’t repeat on here what their opinion was, but it was good

Next week is a week off for us, and then back at Testwood Club in Totton on the 16th June. Look forward to seeing you there!

Break Cover at Salisbury Live in the Square Pt2

That was a thing! Introduced by Colin as “The third last band to play in Salisbury Live 2018”. We had an absolute blast playing yesterday. The weather stayed good for us and the sun even broke through. Thank you for having us and looking forward to tonight’s gig at The Wig & Quill! See you there! Thank you as well to Spencer Mulholland Photography for the additional photos.

Alderbury Village Hall, May Bank Holiday Weekend

Gig no 2 of the weekend… And after the success of Salisbury Live goes “Rural”, we find ourselves back at Alderbury Village Hall. Considering the thunderstorms and rain forecast that was being banded about, the weather was fantastic! Thank you for having us and we’ll see you again soon!

Qudos – May 18

Thankfully the bar staff had put the football round the corner so we didn’t need to be stealth ninjas setting up… However, Qudos is always an enjoyable gig, made even more so by the amount of people that stayed out past the football end whistle! Love playing here and can’t wait until we are back in September!

Salisbury Live goes “Rural”

At the start of May, we ventured out to the Salisbury Live goes Rural event playing at Alderbury Village Hall. Only a short set as part of the days lineup, but with Red Flags, Stolen Jam, Legends – Heroes of Rock and The Deloreons, it was a great line up for a bank holiday weekender!

Salisbury Live Fundraiser – Salisbury Rugby Club

Salisbury Live is here again! This is the last fundraiser of this year before we get into the fantastic event that is Salisbury Live.  5 weekends of live music, and we are extremely proud to be part of it again.

With sets from Just Because, The Funk Bunnies, us, Passenger Club and Barely Legal, it definitely was a Good Friday at Salisbury Rugby Club!

Pictures from the OLMC Live night – March 2018

Last Thursday, we took a little drive east and came to entertain the guys at RAF Odiham. They have a great little facility there for live music and a brilliant crowd! The guys that help run the club did an opening slot for us, which for some, was their first proper gig in front of people. Well done!

Love playing here. It is always great fun. Thanks for having us!

Pictures from the Wig & Quill

Well, for those that follow us on Facebook, the cat is out of the bag! As you can see here, Andrea has settled in well with us, and his introduction at The Wig and Quill was fantastic. A great night had by all, and a great introduction to our new lineup.
